OTAHUHU CLUB. Officers elected at the twenty-sixth annual meeting of the Otahnhu Bowling Club: — President, Mr. D. J. Williams; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. W. Stanstield and It. E. Harper; match committee, Messrs. W. Taylor, S. Harper, Sykes; selector, Mr. A. Murdoch ; auditor, Mr. A. Murdoch ; delegates to Auckland Bowling Centre, Messrs. D. J. Williams anil J. Gardiner; coaches, Messrs. S. Harper and Sykes; umpires, Messrs. W. Taylor, Crawford and Ferguson ; tea steward, Mr. W. Morton. Special mention was made of the services rendered to the club by Mr. S. Harper, who ! has been a member for the last 25 years, | having held every office in the club. It | was unanimously decided to make him a life member in recognition of his services. WAITEMATA CLUB. The various competitions of the Waitemata Club durin the past' season resulted as follow :— Champion Singles,—Winner, .T. Blackledge, the runner-up being F. G. Blackwell (the president). Champion Pairs.—F. G. Blackwell and P. Stewart beat J. W. Lethbridge .and R. G. Holland. G. T. Oxley Memorial Cup Handicap.— W. Corriri beat Daniel Munro. J. L. Leonard Memorial Bowl (two-bowl handicap).—E. W. llilkey beat .T. Brennan. Club Pairs.—lt. tJ. Holland and T. Howland beat F. G. Blackwell and E. W. B. Derrick. Percentage Pairs.—F. W. Mitchell. G. B. C'hlnnery, E. Rogers, J. A. Robertson. First Year Players.—E. W. B. Hcrrick beat L. E. Joy. GREY LYNN CLUB. There was a good attendance of memhers at the annual meeting 011 Tuesday. The report presented by the committee showed a decrease of nine in the total membership, which now comprises 70 active members, four life members and two honorary members. It was noted with satisfaction that visitors taking part in the centre tournaments had been unanimous in their warm praise of the state of the greens and congratulated the green superintendent (Mr. J. Tligginson) and the caretaker (Mr. J. Wheale) accordingly and expressed the club's indebtedness to Messrs. W. Snell, T. G. Shaw and W. 11. Newton for their .very efficient services' as tournament manager, treasurer and secretary respectively. The great loss* sustained by the club in the death of Messrs. John Ferguson, C. J. Christey (life members), G. Kaynes and W. Tugby was regretfully reported, and a vote of sympathy with the bereaved relatives was carried unanimously in the usual way.

The treasurer's statement showed the actual income for the year to have been £50fl 4/3. the expenditure £4f!4 13/11, and the estimated excess of assets over liabilities as £1132 13/ G. The social committee reported having had only a fairly successful year, hut as a result of its efforts had been able to pay £55 into the general fund, bringing its total contribution thereto over a period of nine years' unremitting effort almost to £1300. The meeting heartily endorsed the competitions manager's suggestion that in the future the pairs and singles should be played under a time limit for eacli round ■and deferred decision as lo the club's entry for the pennant matches until after the annual meeting of the centre. In this connection the centre is to be recommended to make the quota for every competing club a liigli percentage of its active membership. The honour of life membership of the club was conferred upon Mr. Geo. Fletcher as a mark of members' great appreciation of his many and valued services during more than twenty years, and especially as green superintendent while the new greens were being formed. The officers elected for the coming season are: Patron, Mr. T. J. Melvor: vicepatrons, Messrs. W. Snell and W. 11. Skitch ; president, Mr. E. E. Buckley ; vicepresidents, Messrs. T. Walker and W. M>incliam; honorary secretary ant\ competitions manager, Mr. W. 11. Newton ; honorary treasurer, Mr. T. G. Shaw; green superintendent, Mr. J. Higginson ; committee, Messrs. It. C. Caddy, E. Molony, N. Person, R. Tengue, T. Tonge and 11. Whittle, with the executive officers, the conveners of the match and grounds committee, when appointed, and the immediate past president (Mr. W. Curtis), ex officio; tournament manager, Mr. H. Scott; delegates to the centre, .Messrs. E. E. Buckley, R. C. Caddy and 11. Whittle; Press reporters, Messrs. Molony and McMurcliy; auditor, Mr. T. Marshall. Special votes of thanks were accorded to Mr. 11. Whittle, the retiring secretary of the social committee, for liis nine years of devoted service 111 that capacity; to Mr. C. F. Brown, the treasurer of that committee, and to Mr. T. J. Melvor, for the donation of a trophy for the runncr-up in the junior championship.
