RUGBY FOOTBALL.

AUCKLAND CONTROL OF GAME GRAMMAR TACKLE MANTJKATJ DRAW FOR THE SECOND ROUND. Mr. Harry Frost presided over last slight's meeting of the Auckland Rugby Football Union, when it was decided to invito clubs to be present at tlio draw for the second round of matches. A meeting of the management committee will be held next Monday at 12.30 p-m* in the union s looms, when the draw will be made. This will be more than usually interesting to clubs, as three of the major division teams will be relegated to the senior B ranks after Saturday's games, and will lie drawn with the three leading sides in the latter competition in a new second division. ..... The second round of the A division will lie confined to the six teams at the head of the championship table at the termination of this week's engagements. The remainder of the present senior B clubs will form a now third dirreion ot the senior competition. _ The leading team in the new B section at the end of the season will go lip to the A grade next year, making seven teams in the first grade. The leading team in the C section will be promoted to the B section, while the remaining 0 grade teams will revert to the junior competition. The executive resolved to arrange a match between the Auckland Grammar School and Hamilton High School, to be played as an early curtain-raiser to the North v. South Island trial match at Eden Park on July 7. The New Zealand Union advised that Mr. M. Johnson had been appointed baggage man to the New Zealand team to tour Australia.
