MISSIONARY UNION
PAPAKURA PRESBYTERIAN BRANCH
The twenty-first anniversary of the foundation of the Papakura branch of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union was held yesterday. It was preceded by a short service in the church, led by the Rev. G. M. Yule, the address being given by the Rev. T. lattison, of Pukekohe. In the church hall the visitors were welcomed by Mrs. Yule, and greetings were received from Mrs. Madill, the first president. On the table was a large birthday cake with candlcs to represent the past, the present and the future. This was cut by Mrs. Mathiesdh, the first secretary of the branch. Miss Wilson, of Auckland, gave an inspiring talk, and the Rev. Pattison spoke on the "Challenge of Missions." A musical programme was contributed by Mesdames C'attanacli, F. McLennan and Miss G. McNaughton.
