IMPORTATIONS OF STOCK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. That the Government be asked to make more satisfactory arrangements for tho importation of stock from Britain was the text of a Masterton remit carried after sonic discussion at the annual conference of the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand. Although still strongly against the embargo being lifted, several members supported tho remit because, they said, unless there were a movement to stop imports altogether, they considered it better that shipments should bo under good control rather than they should come into the country by roundabout ways.
