TOM WALLS COMEDY.

"JUST SMITH" FOR CIVIC. Tom Walls departs from the pen of Ben Travel's for once in his newest film production, "Just Smith," which is announced as the new attraction for to-morrow at the Civic Theatre, replacing "Miss Fane's Baby Is Stolen." "Just Smith" is an adaptation of Frederick Lonsdale's brilliant play, "Never Come Back," and is said to introduce a wealth of typical comedy and romantic situations for the popular Tom Walls, who is cast in an excellent role as a light-fingered crook who likes the ladies, but prefers to collect their superfluous wealth. His fellow conspirator, a Mr. Mortimer, is a supposedly well-to-do man with a yacht and they inveigle a rich American snob and her daughter to stay aboard their yacht, with a trood sprinkling of titles. The daughter is played by Carol Goodlier. She becomes engaged to a duke aboard the yacht and a grateful mother invites the two crooks to stay at her country house. There the fun begins, particularly when a valuable necklace is stolen, and Smith, although innocent, is suspected. How he turns the tables at everyone clre's expense provides the plot for this entertaining film.
