SCATTERED SHOWERS LIKEIY (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON", this day. A trough of low pressure lying parallel to the Dominion, but to the east of it, is. responsible for a persistence of southerly winds. An anti-cyclone of 'considerable intensity covers eastern Australia. The forecast is for light to fresh southerly winds, weather mainly fair to fine, but somewhat changeable, and scattered showers likely in some parts; temperatures cold; seas moderate.
