MISSIONARY EXHIBITION.

In connection with the missionary campaign of the Anglican Diocese of Auckland a missionary exhibition for the parish of Ellerslie was held under the direction of Canon Hobday, acting-vicar, m the parish hall last week. Courts repreeentiuz India, Africa, China, Japan and Melanesia were arranged by the Rev F. 0 Long, general secretary of the Board of Missions, and. Major Robinson, secretary of the Melanesia!! Mission. Exhibits were also lent by the Rev. "W. Mawson, secretary of the Presbyterian Missionary Board. These courts were most attractive, and during the exhibition lectnrettes were given by various experts, including Mrs. Norman Mackenzie and Sister Kathleen Hall, both from China. Programmes each day of songs and dances were given by girls from the Queen Victoria Maori Girls' School, Parnell. Each evening a missionary play was staged entitled "The Wider Vision," by .members of the Girls' Friendly Society, Bible classes and friends. A tearoom, attractively arranged to represent a verandah of a tropical residence, was under the direction of the ladies of Ellerslie and Penrose on Wednesday, and One Tree Hill and Te Papapa on Thursday. It was well patronised and the whole exhibition was successful. The profits will be used for missions.
