EMPIRE GAMES.
N.Z. TEAM'S DEPARTURE. Xew Zealand's representatives for the British Empire Games to be held in England in August, with the exception of J. IE Lovelock, who is at Oxford University and is to join the party in London, I are to sail from Auckland next Saturday by the Remuera. Those making the trip are H K. Brainsby (Auckland) and 1. Or. Broadway (Canterbury), athletes; A. Crump (Auckland), W. Whareaitu (Rotorua) and L. Smith (Feilding , swimmers; and F. J. Grose (Canterbury), cyclist. On the voyage to England Brainsby will be in charge of the team, and Dr. A. E. I orritt, a former Is ew Zealand Rhodes Scholar who is resident in England, will take over the managership after tneir arrival in England. The games, the second to be held, will cover a period from August -i to August 11.
