METHODIST WOMEN.
The first meeting of the St. John's Methodist Women's Guild for 1934 was held in the schoolroom on Tuesday afternoon. The president, Mrs. G. Laurenson, was in the chair, and a very busy afternoon was spent. The treasurers' reports each showed a credit balance. A definite movement toward reducing the church debt was inaugurated. The Rev. G. Laurenson addressed the gathering, the subject being "Some Gleanings from Conference." One new member was received, while three who had been absent many months through illi-ds werj welcomed.
