PRETTY MANNEQUINS.
CAUSE TRAFFIC HOLD-UP. An "unusual traffic hold-up has "occurred" in central Paris, opposite a certain corner hou.se in the Boulevard Haussmann. Men and women may here be seen halted and gazing up, and there is a permanent great jam of taxis, whose fares and drivers are doing the like, poking out their heads and craning their necks. The reason is that a dressmaking firm on the first floor of the said house has covered in the balcony with glare, and parades there a number of pretty mannequins dressed in the daintiest of new fashions and illumined bv powerful sunlights.
