POLICE TRANSFERS
PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Promotions and transfers in the police force are announced by the Commissioner, Mr. W. G. Wolilmann, as follow: Sergeant C. Petersen, Blenheim, promoted to senior sergeant and transferred to Nelson; Sergeant E. Finch, Newmarket, and Sergeant G. Sivycr, Taumarunui, promoted to senior sergeants. Sergeant J. Smyth will be transferred from lieefton to Blenheim; Sergeant M. Hodgins transferred from Grey mouth to Reef ton; Sergeant J. Isbister transferred from Duncdin to Greymouth; Detective-Sergeant T. E. Holmes transferred from Greymouth to Christehureh; Detective 11. E. Knight transferred from Auckland to Greymouth.
