WOOL VALUES.

HAWKE'S BAY RECEIPTS. TOTAL £1,140,750 TO DATE. (By Telegraph.—Special to " Star.") NAPIER, Tuesday. Hawke's Bay woolgrowers to-day received cheques for clips disposed of at the February auction in Napier, and the sum of £280,000 was accordingly , distributed, bringing the gross return from woo) sold at Napier this season to well over the million pound mark. Total receipts for the 1932-33 season were £4j2.092 for 67,002 bales sold; the totals for 1034 were £1,140,750 for 73,130 bales. The return from the last sale indicates the degree of easing in the market between January and February auctions in Napier this season. Whereas the January gale yielded an average price of £17 10/ per bale, the February fixture produced only £14. A factor having an important beaiing on the market, however, is that there has been a very satisfactory clearance at all the Napier sales this season, and brokers and others intimately connected with the industry do not anticipate any further appreciable decline. On the contrary, if any movement at all is recorded, it. is expected it will be upward. Three large overseas vessels are at present 111 port at Napier lifting the wool which was sold at the February auction, while the stores are already filled with clips to be offered at the next sale 011 March 20.
