GORDONTON CHURCH.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

HAMILTON, Tuesday,

The foundation stone of the new cliurch at Gordonton was laid on Sunday afternoon by the Rt. Rev. C. A. Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato. In his address, the bishop said the church building scheme at Gordonton was the result of many years' effort on the part of parishioners and settlers in the district. The church, which is being built of brick with a tiled roof, will have accommodation for 100, and is expected to be completed in a few weeks.
