WAIKATO NOTES.
A presentation was made at the "Herald" Office in Hamilton to Miss Franco Lighthouse, who is shortly to be married. Members of tho staff wished Miss Lighthouse every happiness in her future home, and presented her with a very handsome pewter tea service. A very enjoyable dance organised by the High School Old Girls' Association was held in George Kingston Studio on Saturday night. The guests wero received by Mrs. W. H. Allen, wearing a frock of briar rose georgette. Those present were: Mrs. W. Horton, Misses M. Campbell, E. Tombs, G. Foster, P. Sorby, P. Tombs, H. Gaze, M. Greville, Z. Holmes, D. Speight, J. Campbell, M. McGuiness, N. Madill, E. Scott, M. Ross, Clark, A. Wilson, D. Stranger, H. Lambert, Anderson, N. Gaze, E. Tombs, B. Foster. Miss Phyllis Clcvely was the guest of honour at a jolly evening given for her at Ruakura Farm. During the evening Mr. Rodda in a happy little speech wished the bride-elect every happiness in her future home, and asked her to accept the gifts brought by her friends. Those present included: Mesdames Clevely, Rodda, M. O'Connor, Weatherley, Grant, Misses C. Clevely, J. Howle'tt, I. Hobbs, C. Mills, L. Davidson, M. Blythe, D. Rodda, I. Roach, E. O'Neill, M. King, S. Watkinson, G. Howlett. H. Pulham, A. Watkinson, M. Rodda, P. Howlett, J. King. Mrs. Hey wood, of Devonport, is on a visit to Cambridge. Mrs. F. Gordon, of Christchureh, is the guest of Mrs. D'Arcy Smith, Claudelands. Miss Banks, of Cambridge, is on a visit to Havelock North. Mrs. P. Tidmarsh, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. C. C. Tidmarsh, Hamilton. Mrs. C. Kent has returned to Claudelands from a holiday spent up North. Miss M. Cussen, of Claudelands, is staying at Huapai. Miss Robertson, of Rotorua, is the guest of Mrs. E. Gibbs, Hamilton. Mrs. Honeyfield, of Hamilton, is spending a holiday at Rotorua. Miss K. Wilson has returned to Hamilton from a visit to New Plymouth. Miss Cliffe, of Cambridge, is on a visit to tho South Island. Misa Fricker, of Claudelands, has been away at Rotorua. Mrs. Cowling, of Cambridge, is staying at Mrs. J. B. Hino has returned to Gisborne from a visit to Cambridge. _ Mrs. H. Douglas has returned to Hamilton after spending a holiday at Tauranga. Mrs. E. R. Lee has returned to Cambridge from a visit to Wailii Beach. Miss J. Mackereth, of Roto-o-rangi, has been away in Auckland.
