PENWOMEN'S CLUB.
The annual general meeting of the literature study section was held last evening in the cluu rooms, when the officers for the ensuing year were were elected. The report presented showed that the section had covered a wide and varied range of study. A very appreciative vote of thanks was accorded the retiring convener, Mrs. J. Innes, who has done much to further the progress of the section. The election of o(licers resulted: —Convener, Mrs. C. D. McLean: lion, secretary. Miss M. Hutton Wliitclaw, re-elected; committee, Mesdames .T. Ilowie, L. Booth, L. Spinlev, Snadden. Prior to the annual meeting Mrs. Times gave a very interesting paper on Hugh Walpolc, with several delightful extracts from some of liis books.
