SOLID MEALS POPULAR
Mae West, they say, is responsible for setting a new fashion in feminine curves, with the result that British women arc not only eating more but are clamouring for instruction in special exercises to cultivate the West figure. Slimming, apparently, is a thing of the past, and fashionable restaurants and humble' teashops alike are rejoicing in the increasingly large meals of their female clients. Instead of the fruit juice and biscuit of the society woman and the coffee and bun of the business girl, four and five-course lunches have become the order of the day.
