FRIENDLY ROAD.

OPENING OF RADIO STATION. MR. COATES TO SPEAK. The opening of the Friendly Road broadcasting station will take place next Saturday, when the official ceremony will be performed by the I!t. Hon. J. G. Coates, who is due to arrive at Auckland next Saturday morning by the Limited express. On Saturday afternoon Mrs. Coates will be entertained at afternoon tea at Milne and Choycd's. The Mayoress of Auckland will preside. The official opening of tiic station will take place at 8 p.m. The speakers will be Mr. Coates, Sir George Elliot, the Rev. C. O. Scrimgcour, Messrs. If. Welsh and T. T. Garland.
