RETURNED SOLDIERS' PICNIC.

The first big r.rganised picnic held by the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association will take place at Redwood Park, Swanson, 011 Sunday. It is hoped that about 6000 will attend. Special trains will leave Auckland for Swanson , stopping . at stations en route, and additional trams will leave various points from 8.15 a.m. and will also meet returning trains.

A comprehensive sports programme has been arranged. Children will be specially catered for free, with ice cream and fruit, and hot water and milk are to be supplied free.
