FRENCH INQUIRY. £2,000,000 of Stavisky Frauds Traced. CHEQUES DISCOVERED. (United P. A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Beccived 11 a.m.) PARTS, February 21. The investigating magistrate is now in possession of Sl>4 cheques, which Stavisky issued totalling £2,000.000, part of the proceeds of the issues of forged Bayonne bonds, of which £1530,000 was made out to bearer, £1,100,000 to self, and £000,000 to benciiciaries. There is no trace of the remaining £3,000,000 which he obtained from the bond forgery.
