BUTTER MANUFACTURE.

A demonstration was giveji yesterday at the East Tamaki Dairy Company's factory of a new vacuum process of manufacturing butter. Amongst those present were the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. C. T]. M&cmillan, Mr. J. N. Massey, M.P., Mr, E. Woods, chief grader in Auckland, and Mr. W. W. Dempster, dairy instructor for the Waikato district. The vacuum process has been a subject of research for many years. The butter was examined after churning, and was favourably commented upon.
