MINISTERS TRAVEL
WELCOME TO MR. FORBES. ON WAY TO WAITANGI. , The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, arrived by the Limited express this morning from Wellington. He was accompanied by Mrs. Forbes and his two daughters. In the absence from Auckland of the Mayor, Mr." Forbes was met by the deputy-Mayor, Mr. A. J. Entrican, and the Mayoress, Mrs. Hutchison, and a representative gathering of citizens. Mr. Forbes left this afternoon by car for Waitangi. He is due back next Thursday evening and will officially open the Royal Show on Friday. It .is his intention to vjsit various centres north of Auckland on the way back from Waitangi. . The Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon. J. ,G. Crates, also arrived by the Limited this morning. . He left immediately for the .North and will .attend the yacht races at Kawau before going on to Waitangi. The Minister of Lands, the Hon. E. A. Ransom, attended the Warkworth Show to-day. After visiting Waitangi he expects* to return to Auckland next Wednesday.
The" Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. C. E. Macmillan, spent to-day in Auckland and will go on to Waitangi tomorrow.
