OPPOSITION TO WAR
AUCKLAND R.S.A. RESOLUTION At the quarterly meeting of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association held last evening, and presided over by the acting-president, Mr. J. W. Kendall, the following resolution was carried: — "That we of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association declare that we first ensure all the promises made to the soldiers of 1914-18 being scrupulously fulfilled before landing our organisation to any form of recruiting whatever. Further, this organisation pledges itself to use every means in its power to oppose war with any country whatever, and demand, that all funds subscribed for the soldiers during and after the war years and all funds owned by them be immediately pooled for their benefit."
