MR. E. H. HEALEY.
A prominent bowler, Mr. Ernest Hilliard Healey, (lied at Christclwrch on January 28, aged 71 years. Born in Auckland, he went to Chri si church when about 10 years of ago. Mr. Healey was a member of the Linwood Bowling Club for nearly ten years. One of the leading bowlers in Christcliurcli in his day, he won several club championships, and also represented Canterbury on various occasions in interprovincial contests. An ex-president of the Linwood Club, Mr. Healey took a prominent part in the administration of bowling affairs. He was president of the Cliristchurch Centre during the 1921-22 season, and a member of the Dominion Council of the New Zealand Bowling Association in the 1926-7 and 1927-8 seasons. Mr. Healey also took an interest in League football, and was a popular and capable occupant of the position of president of the Canterbury Rugby League. A delegate from the Linwood Club, he occupied the position from 1922 till 1925, when he decided that the office should go by rotation, and resigned.
