SHIPPING NEWS.
HOLIDAY AT PORT. IVANGANELLA DUE TO-MORROW. The Anniversary Day holiday is being observed in ships at the wharves to-day, except for the Avelona Star arid the Port Sydney, which ships are loading for England. The liner Wanganella, Is due from Sydney to-morrow. Avoloßa Star arrived from 'SYellingtoh yesterday morning to Complete her cargo for London. She is at the Central wharf, and is expected to sail on Friday night via Panama. (W. and It. P.) Mahana, which arrived yesterday afternoon 'roni Brisbane, is loading at the Prince's wharf for England. Her other joadihg ports will be Gisborrie, Wellington, Dunedin and Bluff. A fine weather passage was experienced during the trip across theTasman, when the vessel was in ballast after unloading a cargo froth (Ireftt Britain at Australian ports; (L.D.N.)
Wanganella is expected to-morrow morning from Sydney with an exceptionally large number of passengers, in addition to mails and cargo. She is to berth at the Prince's wharf, and sails early in the evening for a cruise to Northern ports. She returns to Auckland on Friday, sailing on the return trip to Sydney the same day. (H.Pi)
Discovery 11. is expected to-morrow from research work in the Pacific, and is to berth at the North Wall. The ship will be in pWt for about a week. (N.Z.S.)
Ruahine has reported by radio that she expects to arrive from Liverpool on Friday morning. In addition to passengers and mails, the vessel has cargo from west coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lvttelton and Dunedin. (N.Z.S.)
Cornwall is expected to leave Napier to-morrow evening for Auckland, where she is due on Wednesday afternoon to complete loading for London. She is scheduled to leave on Saturday. (N.Z.S.)
Zealandic, loading at the Queen's wharf, is to sail to-morrow evening for Wellington and Lyttelton to complete her cargo foi' London, Liverpool And Glasgow. She is scheduled to leave Lyttelton for London, via Panama, oii February 9. (A.S.P.)
Triona is due to-morrow from Nauru Island with a cargo of phosphates for discharge at Auckland. She has been allotted a berth at the King's wharf. (H. and St.)
