On behalf of the late Sir Henry Dickens' widow, who claims the copyright, solicitors have issued a warning against the publication in its entirety or of extracts from the "Life of Christ." It is believed that an American publisher, during Sir Henry's lifetime, offered £10,000 for the manuscript, but the offer was rejected on sentimental grounds. Sir Henry, however, indicated that he would not object to the publication of the work after his death.
