SLAUGHTER CATTLE.
DECISION IN HOLLAND,
(Received 12.30 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, January 4. Owing to a depression, due to the decline of English, French and German markets for dairy produce, the Dutch Cattle Board has decided to slaughter 4000 cattle a week for a year in order to maintain the domestic price level. The slaughtered animals will be tinned, and the unemployed will be able to purchase 2Jib of meat for a shilling.
