ROOFS TORN OFF HOUSES,
.(Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A violent storm, accompanied by torrential rain and severe hail, occurred in tlie northern coastal tablelands districts. The cyclone at Inverell blew roofs off houses and outbuildings, while stormwater channels overflowed and business places were flooded, and farmers 5 crops flattened. Creeks and rivers in the Kyogis district overflowed their banks, causing extensive damage to roads and bridges. Telephone and telegra,pli wires are down.
