FOUND DROWNED

CARETAKER AT BATHS. tßy Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAWERA, Tuesday. Mr. James Dowdle, aged 40, custodian of the Hawera swimming baths, was found drowned in the baths at 10 o'clock on Saturday evening, death having taken place an hour or two earlier. Mr. Dowdle was the designer of a successful swimming instruction device, which was adopted in varioiis parts of New Zealand. An inquest will be held.
