The weather _was perfect. Perry was in excellent form and continually outwitted Quist, hitting all his shots with precision. He showed great footwork. Quist, however, held his own toward the close and several times had the British champion in trouble. Turnbull played all over Wilde. The latter's display was disappointing. Except for occasional rallies he never revealed Test form. '
