EVACUATION ADVISED.

Foreigners Warned in Amoy and Foochow. DAMAGE BY AIR RAIDERS. SHANGHAI, January 1. Foreigners living in Amoy and Foochow have been advised by the Nanking Government to evacuate those cities in' view of expected military operations. It is reported in Shanghai that the Nanking Government's forces have captured Yenping, the Fukien troops offering a stiff resistance. Refugees from Foochow report that great damage has been done by air raiders.

Amoy is one of the chief ports, and Foochow is the capital of Fukien Province, the Government of which recently declared its independence of the central Chinese Government at Nanking. The rebels are said to be sympathetic with Communism, which is rampant in Central China. Nanking has been moving military forces against Foochow.
