£2500 FOR FILM.

Conditions relating to the Federal Government's awards of merit for Aus-tralian-produced films and scenarios have been announced by the Minister of Customs. The award for tlie best feature sound film produced in the Commonwealth or a Commonwealth territory is £2500, with £1250 for second and £750 for third. For the ber.t sound, film scenario not hitherto used as a basis for a film production £2.;0 will be awarded, and for the best feature sound film scenario containing Australian sentiment not hitherto used in production a further award of £250 will be made. The awards are offered in respect of film actually produced in the Commonwealth or any Commonwealth territory between July 1, 1933, and Liecember 31, 1934.
