FOG IN ENGLISH CHANNEL.
LONDON, December 22.
The hold-up of shipping due to an unprecedentedly heavy fog included the Homeric with COO passengers on a Christmas cruise, tile Majestic iiild the cross-Channel steamer Isle of Thanet, which was six hours late in finding Boulogne Harbour.
Tile Hobson's Bay was 36 hours late in crawling into Southampton to pick up 275 passengers who had beetl Waiting since Wednesday morning. She will not sail for Australia before to-night, even if the fog lifts.
