SAFE BLOWERS FAIL.

■ ASHBURTON SHOP ENTERED. <By Telegrapn.—Vress Association.) ASHBUKTON, this day. An attempt to blow open the safe in the office of Mr. W. J. Moore, draper, in East Street, was made during the night. The lock, however, merely closed more, tightly. No damage was done to the office. • Entrance to the building was gained through a small skylight and exit was made through the back door. The type -of explosive used is not known. This is the first case of its kind in Ashburton.
