RAILWAY EARNINGS.

REVENUE INCREASE. V IMPROVEMENT CONTINUES. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. An increase of £32,093 in net revenue for the four-weekly period ending November 11 was revealed to-day by the chairman of the Railways Board, Mr. H. H. Sterling. The gross revenue for the four-weekly period showed an increase of £33,941, as compared with the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

The operating expenditure was higher by £184S, leaving an increase in net revenue of £32,093 for the portion of the financial year from April 1 to November 11, The gross revenue showed an increase of £51.912 and expenditure a decrease of £45,700, leaving an increase in net revenue for the portion of year up to the date mentioned of £97,612, "as compared with the corresponding portion of the previous financial year.
