BUILDING PERMITS.
AUCKLAND CITY FIGURES. RETURNS FOR NOVEMBER. Building permits issued by the Auckland City Council during the month of November totalled in value £20,593. The number was 130, including 14 for new dwellings. The largest amount involved in one permit was £4000, the permit being in connection with the second section of alterations to the Victoria Arcade, Queen Street. The value of permits issued in October last was £21,628, and the number of new dwellings was 14. In November of last year the respective figures were £18,508 and 10. The total value of permits issued for the eight months of the present financial year to date is £198,532. The figure for the year ending March 31 was £202,327, so that it appears that the total for the present year ending March 31 will show some improvement as there are yet four months to- go.
