SIR GEORGE FOWLDS.

Seeing 'Sir George Fowlds at a rwont function, the thought crossed my mind that as there are several vacancies in the Legislative Council it would be a graceful act on the part of the Government to offer this gentleman one of them. I consider that he has well earned it. I do not know if he has been offered such so far, nor do I have an_v idea whether he would or would not accept it, but I certainly think the position should be tendered to him. OETOBO.
