CONFERENCE CALLED. IN WELLINGTON NEXT WEEK. MODIFICATIONS DESIRED. (Ry Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this clay. Representatives of all Public Service and railway organisations will meet in Wellington next week to hear proposals from the Minister cA Finance, the lit. lion. J. G. Coates, respecting modifications of superannuation schemes. Last* bill, which, was the subject of stormy protests from the Public Service, and on which a special committee was unable finally to report owing to the large amount of evidence submitted, has not been introduced tin's session. It is expected that after the coming conference a bill will be introduced era-. bodying the results of the conference if an agreement can be effected.
