An outstanding feature of Chicago by night is the Lindbergh beacon, which throws a two-billion candle power beam of light 500 miles. The light surmounts the Palmolive building which houses the executive staff of Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Co., Ltd. The light at the distance of 55J miles from the Lindbergh beacon is equivalent in brightness to the full moon.
