PROCESSIONS AND MEETINGS.
ADVERTISING SIGNS.
At a special meeting of the Auckland City Council this afternoon, presided over by the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, a resolution was passed making a new by-law dealing with street processions, billiard room fees, abattoir fees, and charges, and advertising oil vehicles. Under this by-law it will bo an offence to organise or direct a procession, or any public meeting, gathering, or demonstration without a written permit previously issued by the council. The license fee for public billiard tables was fixed at £1 for one table and an additional 10/ for all other tables in the same premises. The by-law makes it an offence for any person to drive or use in any street or public place in the city any vehicle containing advertising signs, without a license. . .. .
