banked track handicaps.
The first of its series of open track events will be conducted next Saturday afternoon by the Auckland Amateur Cycling Centre at the banked track at the Papatoetoe Sladin in. At- the second annual meeting of the above club the picmbership showe< a lai|,'e increase over the first year, being JO at tlio end of the season. Fifteen senior races and fifteen junior races and ten combined senior and junior races were held. Jpacings in events controlled by the Auckland Cvcling Centre were registered "by B. Evans, second in a 24-mile race; and Graham ikaurance, second in junior championsliip of Auckland. In the open race held at Takapuna B. Sharp lowered the lap record to 9.5. The ciul) senior championship was won by A. Lydford, and the senior points cup by B. Oliver. The junior championship went to Ross Jones, and the junior points cup to A. McKee. Uhe club now possesses seven annual trophies on show—Wood Memorial Shield, won by L. Dick; Championship Cup, presented by Mr. S. Gallagher, and won by A. Lydford; Farmers' Trading Co. Cup, won 'by I?. Oliver; Harrison Cup. won by B. Evans; Hawes Cup, won by M. Laurie; King Cup. won by M. Laurie; the Wood Cup for juniors, not yet competed for. Officers elected were;—Patron, Mr. J.
