BUILDING PERMITS.
FIGURES FOR OCTOBER. In the month, ending to-day, the City Council issued 122 building permits for work estimated to cost £21,628, compared with 139 permits for the corresponding period of last year when the value of the buildings was estimated at £20,511. Last month 143 permits \. ere issued for buildings representing an expenditure of £37,659. This month's permits included twelve dwellings.
