George Urquhart, of Rotorua, is spending., a holiday in Auckland, and is at the Central Hotel. - * • » • Mrs. M. J. Moodabe and Mrs. E. Seagar returned by the Monowai yesterday after spending several weeks in Australia. Lieutenant-Commander Richard Airey and Mrs. Airey, of Auckland, arrived in London, recently, and will pay a round of country visits. * * * • Mrs. J. R. Griffiths arrived last week from Kenya Colony, East Africa, and is the guest of her mother, Mrs. A. Tooman, Remuera Road. Misses 13. and K. Carpenter have returned to Auckland after spending a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Munro, Russell, Bay of Islands. * * • • Mr. and Mrs. X. F. Tidman, of Auckland, and their son are visiting France after a etay at Portsmouth, where Mr. Tidman eat for exafnination at the Whale Island Gunnery School. * * * • Mrs. George Sinclair Ross, of "Wellington, Mrs. and Mies Mcßeath, of Auckland, and Miss Galpin, of Marton, have taken a flat in London after touring Scotland and'the south of England. together, and will winter in France. * ■ * » • Miee P. Wiles, of Auckland, "whose marriage took place recently in England, arrived there last March, having travelled via Panama on the Remuera. She i&»a Karitane nurse, and although the main object of her trip was pleasure, after her arrival she gained more nursing experience. On the pleasure side ehe has stayed with New Zealand friende in Devon, Cornwall and the southern counties, and had a most enjoyable tour through Wales and then across to Ireland, visiting the principal places of interest. Later she was able to spend a brief holiday in the lake district, and has recently returned from a trip on the Continent, Paris, Swiss and Italian Lakee, Black Forest and down the Rhine, flying to Paris by Imperial Airways.
