A message from Lapeer, Michigan, 6tates that local residents are aroused over the continued attrition of their funds, which are being held in closed banks by the Conservator. One State bank is being held to trial for alleged defalcation of 4000 dollars after the bank had been ordered to close, and to-day another county savings bank, which recently shut down, was raided by bandits, who escaped with a sum" estimated at 2000 dollars.
