FILM LIBEL SUIT.

Russian Princess' Claim Based On Rasputin Picture. 2,000,000-DOLLAR CLAIM. NEW YORK, October 29. Princess Irene, wife of Prince Felix Yussupoff of Russia, has filed an action claiming 2,000,000 dollars for alleged libel against the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Film Corporation, which produced the film "Rasputin and the Empress." Plaintiff alleges that the character of Princess Natash who, in the film, introduces the monk into the Czar's household and then becomes his mistress is so thinly veiled that people throughout the world have recognised the character as herself. Further plaintiff alleges that the foreword to the film says: "A few of the characters are still alive. The rest met their deaths by violence." She says that she and her husband are the only ones involved in the action who are now living.
