Sensational Revelations of Ex-President's Dealings. COUNTRY SEATS ATTACHED. (Received 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 24. The Senate committee investigating the Chase Bank affairs to-day revealed that President Machado of Cuba, in 1931 used 9,000,000 dollars from a certain pension trust fund of 12,000,000 set aside by the Government. It was further revealed that the United States Department was aware of the situation of various loans secured and unsecured, also made by the Chase Bank to President Machado personally or companies owned by him. A Havana message 6ays that the National Court of Sanctions to-day ordered the attachment of five country estates owned by President Machado, also 300,000 dollars in banks. The authorities are searching for his other properties.
