Callil of Melbourne, arrived by the Mariposa this morning, and are staying at Hotel Cargen. Dr. E. P. Neale, secretary of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, returned from Wellington tliis morning by the Limited. Mr. V. Hutcheson, of Wellington, has been elected president of the Shipping Officers' Guild of New Zealand in succession to Mr. G. H. -Norman. Bitcliener, : Minister of Public Works, arrived at Pukekohe this morning, and during the day toured the western portion of Franklin County, visiting Otaua, Waiuku and Awliitu Central. On Monday he will he at Papakura in the morning, and Will later go through the eastern portion of the county as far as Kaiaua.
