London to Athens on First Hop To Australia. OUT TO SMASH RECORDS. (United P. A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, October 13. Another flight to Australia was begun yesterday from Feltham aerodrome, Middlesex. Mr. C. T. P. Ulrn, accompanied by Captain P. G. Taylor, Mr. G. U. Allen and Mr. John Edwards, a London wireless operator, left at 10.30 p.m. in the monoplane Faith in Australia, on the return journey. The airmen reached Athens (1505 miles) at 3.10 this afternoon, local time, and resumed the flight at eight o'clock. The "Daily Herald" says: "Ulm the Unlucky" is out to break Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's record. He proposes to try to reach Australia in four hops. His machine is capable of flying 3500 miles in one stage. The airman's object is to reach Australia in four days. The party will do much night flying. CENTENARY RACE. "SMITHY" SEES 3-DAY TRIP. (Received 2 p.m.) BRISBANE, this day. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith expressed the opinion that the Melbourne centenary air race from England should be done in three drys, flying day and night. " SMITHY'S " PROGRESS. AIRMAN IN QUEENSLAND.

BRISBANE, October 13. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith reached Brisbane from Camooweal at 5 p.m. to-day. He was very exhausted and unable to broadcast from 4QG as had been arranged. The airman received a tremendous ovation. The Premier and the Lord Mayor greeted him as the world's greatest' aviator.
