THE KING'S PRIZE. RECORDS BY WINNER AND RUNNER-UI 1 . SYDNEY, this clay. At the national rifle shooting meeting yesterday the King's Prize match was won j> v .1. R. Felt ham, of Marulan, near Goull)iirii, with 344, which is believed to be an Australian and New Zealand record. The previous record was that of R. Gunn, of Melbourne, namely, 341. H. M. Naff, of South Australia, scored 34-, also a record, and was second. Feltliain scored the possible in the second match of the day. the Lindsay, 10 shots at 800 yards. I.ucena (N.Z.) with 3-0, finished OSth, and won Carter, another New Zealander, also getting £2 with 32U—which made him UStli. In the .T. D. Alexander aggregate, won by A. Clarke, Victoria, with 14j out of a possible J>. Luceiiu was 80th with 130, winning £1, as did Curler with 138 for 107 th place. RANGITAIKI CLUB. M rs. W. Moore opened the Rangitaiki Rifle Club's new season by firing the first shot. Tile president, Mr. R. Wilson, welcomed old and new members.
