CHILD INJURED.
DRAY WHEEL ON SHOULDER. ACCIDENT IN NORTH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.* WHANGAREL' this day. A serious accident befell the two-year-son of Mr. and Mrs. Goodenough*, of Maungakaramea, on Saturday morning. Mr. Goodenough. was taking his cream out in the.dray to the main road accompanied by his little eon when, owing to the roughness of the road, the cream cans were displaced, and, in order to <ret them back in place, Mr. Goodenough let go his hold of the child for a moment. The child was thrown out or the dray, one wheel of which was resting on hie shoulders when the father jumped out to rescue him. It was found necessary to move the dray on to extricate the victim. Firet aid was rendered, and the child was taken to tlie Whangarei District Hospital. It was ascertained that no bones were broken, but it will not be possible for a few days to find out tlio full extent of the injury.
