Would it b* too much to hope that Messrs. Forbes and Coates would reconsider the private shareholder scheme and model the New Zealand bank on the Australian one? Leaving the control of th o Reserve Bank in private hands would pot alter the banking position at allThe private enterprise complex would remain in operation, whereas what wo want is a Stateowned bank with the same kind of independent management that they have in Australia. I am sure that if this change were made much of the present opposition to a Central Reserve Bank would disappear. B.
