RESERVE BANK BILL.
I notice in your jiolitieal notes from Wellington it is stated that the Central Reserve Bank Bill is being revised, but it ia not stated what alterations are to be made. Would it b* too much to hope that Messrs. Forbes and Coates would reconsider the private shareholder scheme and model the New Zealand bank on the Australian one? Leaving the control of th o Reserve Bank in private hands would pot alter the banking position at allThe private enterprise complex would remain in operation, whereas what wo want is a Stateowned bank with the same kind of independent management that they have in Australia. I am sure that if this change were made much of the present opposition to a Central Reserve Bank would disappear. B.
